Manley’s Neo-Classic mono block amplifiers deliver detail and spatial imaging in spades thanks to their carefully chosen components and unique circuitry designs, honed over decades of research and development. While the 250W Neo-Classic variant employs EL34B-type tubes, the larger model uses a set of KT90s - a tube manufactured by Electro-Harmonix, to deliver up to twice the power at 500W.
To avoid power drain when Neo-Classics are first turned on from cold, Manley have deployed a Soft-Start mode, which fires up each amplifier to half-power for warm up. Engage the switch to full power ON to begin listening.
The Neo-Classic 500s also include operational switching to dial between triode and ultra-linear modes and utilise healthily sized reservoir capacitors for plenty of energy to aid dynamic performance.
