It’s that time of year again! This February sees the welcome return of Bristol’s Sound & Vision Show and SCV Distribution will be going the extra mile – as always – to make it an event to remember! Asides from our profile of tried-and-tested Benchmark, IsoAcoustics, Questyle, Fostex and Meze Consumer Audio products, a number of brand new additions will be available to inspect, some making their very first UK appearance!
Meze 99 Neo
Over the past year Meze have seen the meteoric rise of the 99 Classics, attractively designed headphones capable of delivering a truly natural sound, seemingly agreeable to even the most particular audio devotees. Now in 2017 Meze are announcing the 99 Neo, a near-identical design featuring black plastic cups in place of wood. This makes for a more affordable headphone with the same great response, and the Neos will be on show at Sound & Vision ready to test!
IsoAcoustics GAIA
GAIA is a range of machined home audio isolators designed specifically for floor-standing hi-fi speakers. Their patented design elevates speakers from hard-floor surfaces, reducing inward reflections and achieving superior acoustics clarity. Three sizes are available, stop by and hear them in action this year at the SCV room (#430) where we'll be demonstrating our infamous A/B test - hearing is believing!
Benchmark DAC3
The DAC2 was a hard act to follow, but Benchmark have pulled out all the stops on their latest innovation. The DAC3 features a range of improved specs plus a noticeably enhanced listening experience, no small order for a DA converter in this price bracket. As with the previous incarnation, three variants are available (two designed for consumer audio, one for professional studio applications). The DAC3HGC model will be available in full force to check out at this year’s show.
Questyle CMA400i
Last but not least, a very exclusive look at Questyle’s recently-announced CMA400i DAC/Headphone Amplifier featuring AKM’s AK4490 DAC chip, USB/Optical/SPDIF connectivity and an intimidatingly reasonable sub-£1k estimate price-tag. Join us in grabbing a peak ahead of the crowds!
