This July the UK's fastest growing music equipment show makes a triumphant return to London's Tileyard Studios. Featuring product launches and demonstrations, panel talks and unmissable show deals, GearFest has a little something for each and every music-making enthusiast.
For 2024's edition of GearFest, the SCV team will once again be joined by key-partner Focal to exhibit their range of professional studio monitors along with headphone models suited for tracking, mixing and mastering. Find us in GearFest's aptly named Listen Area marked "F" on your show-guide.
Atmos Demonstration
This year Focal and SCV have designed a full Dolby Atmos demonstration rig that utilises every model in the revered ST6 range.
Two pristine Trio 6 ST6 monitors will be used for front-left and front-right mains, while our 2.5-way Twin 6 ST6 will be used for the centre. Eight Solo 6 ST6s will be suspended above and behind the listening position for surround duties, and finally a single Sub 12 will handle the low end.
For isolation, each suspended Solo 6 ST6 will be decoupled from our truss assembly using IsoAcoustics V120 isolation mounts.
Headphone Area
Catering to our valued audience of portable listeners, SCV will have both the open-back Clear MG Professional mixing headphones and closed-back Listen Professional tracking headphones ready to demo with a wide range of high-res streaming material.
Powering our headphone display will be two brand new Phonitor 3 headphone amplifiers with on-board DAC digital conversion. Now in its 3rd incarnation, the Phonitor DAC is equipped with SPL's unique crossfade technology to accurately emulate the sensation of listening to angled speakers live in a studio.
