Painstakingly detailed, Slate Digital’s FG-2A is powered by the modelling of every possible nuance from classic 2A limiting amplifiers. Each peak and curve has been beautifully captured to recreate the magic of the optical compressor’s original hardware.
Controls have been made as familiar as possible with peak and gain knobs, a switch to toggle between limiting and compression, and finally an HF/flat side-chaining control for adjusting pre-emphasis. Parallel processing is also possible with the power of the FG-2A’s stereo linking and mix knob features.
With a responsive reduction meter to measure gain while mixing, FG2A delivers warm saturated textures guaranteed to add analogue richness to any track or mix bus.
