While the shift to digital sources becomes more and more prevalent in audio listening, SPL’s Diamond is a premium converter designed to present musical detail in swathes heard like never before.
Diamond can accommodate sources via AES, coaxial, optical, and USB digital inputs, routing its converted signal out via XLR balanced and RCA unbalanced outputs. Up to six digital stereo sources can be connected at once with PCM across every channel. Direct Stream Digital may also be used at DSD4 and DSD25 standards, but only via USB.
At the heart of the DAC’s inner workings is the elite AKM4490 "Velvet Sound" DAC chip, delivering sample rates up to 768kHz at 32-bit and enabling PCM audio playback across all inputs.
Diamond is armed with SPL’s unique 120v VOLTAiR technology to allow for exceptional conversion, high input levels and high headroom for any source thanks to its high-operation DC voltage.
